REPLACING SAND WITH GRAPHENE MAKES CONCRETE MUCH STRONGER AND LIGHTER

First of all, it is 25 per cent lighter. Equally important, graphene improves maximum deformation, impact strength and compressive strength by 33, 32 and 21 per cent respectively. At the same time, the tensile strain resistance of concrete decreased by 11.0%. The “graphene concrete” technology is still too expensive to become mainstream – but it has great potential.
